Virtually all of the EU does not add fluoride to water. Are they scientifically illiterate?
Yes, for the most part the way the EU regulates chemicals is scientifically illiterate. They use the precautionary principle which says if it’s toxic in any amount it’s forbidden unless you can prove it’s safe and nothing can be proven safe so then it just becomes an exercise of which chemicals have the most demonstrated need to be used and they think they’re safe. They don’t actually do any original science and they rely on bureaucrats not scientists to regulate. So yeah, pretty much they’re scientifically illiterate.
And yet obesity rates in America are astonishing and our life expectancy is actually DECREASING. Our life expectancy is 76 while it’s 81 in Europe and their morbidity is far lower too. Go figure.
