[/quote] Well you can't say *never* because culture can change. There probably needs to be a culturally relevant home-grown soccer star to raise the profile of the sport. Think what Tiger Woods did for golf and Bird/Magic/MJ did for basketball or Mohammed Ali or Serena Williams. But these types of generational stars that can cross over to the culture don't come along often. And if there were a mega soccer talent in the US they would probably move to Europe and we'd never see them play. It might take decades for the culture to change or it may never happen.[/quote]
