According to whom? Niche ranks Sidwell #11 nationally, and Sidwell has better name recognition than most of the schools ranked #1-10.

Lawrenceville is a 9-12 grade school, not K-12. So if you want use Niche as your holy grace,  this is the ranking you should have used: HS ranking. Sidwell didn't even make top 30.

Your link is for "college-prep" private HS. The correct ranking to use is "best private HS". Still, Sidwell is way behind Lawrenceville in your linked ranking.

Lawrenceville is ranked #14 and Sidwell is ranked #29 (out of tens of thousands of private schools).
