Raise the bar and more students will meet the higher expectations.[/quote] They will come, agreed, but not to the clip white people will start to get too worried about due to sheer lack of asians in DMV compared to california. Getting more asians at UVA or UMD is not really going to push either school that much higher in collegiate rankings to have a glut of out-of-state asians applying to either school. It isn't bad btw, i fully support removing all affirmative action. I'm just saying due to local/regional demographics currently and the near future, these two schools wont turn into flagship uc's demographically. Same thing with UMich or UT-austin....not turning into top uc's demographically anytime soon even if AA is fully removed.[/quote]
