For those saying the heat is like DC, I disagree. I am a person that loves heat, summer weather, the tropics, etc. But Orlando in July/August is on a whole other level. It will be oppressively hot!
I was checking a lot last year to complain. It really is very similar. Orlando gets a little more humid on average and cools down a little less at night, but the daytime temp and humidity were often exactly the same.
Not last August. I went the third week, and it did not feel any different from DC at all. I was prepared for some awful experience weather wise, and it really wasn’t.
This. People told us we were crazy to go to Italy in July because it would be oppressively hot, but I don’t think it was much different from DC. You get up early to sightsee, take an early and long lunch and then slowly meander, popping indoors to cool off, before relaxing at the hotel, showering, and gearing up for more sightseeing and fun late into the night. Disney is sorta the same thing. Hang out at the pool during the hottest part of the day and rest up before heading back to the parks.
