Yes, federal governments can step in and create jobs. But not this federal government under Trump which has made it their raison d'etre to fire federal employees doing essential work. And they're also cutting federal grants to states. Change the federal government (POTUS and/or Congress) and then we can talk about public interventions to support job creation. But with the land of DOGE, the only jobs that are going to be created are those which benefit the holdings of Elon Musk and other Trump donors/affiliates.[/quote]
