The British colonized Egypt, Palestine, Iraq, Jordan, Sudan. 
The French colonized Lebanon, Syria, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco etc…
Libya was colonized by Italy.

Morocco still has areas that are still colonized to this day by Spain (Ceuta and Mellila).

Egypt was not a British colony.

As for Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, these were French and British mandates after the Ottoman Empire dissolved after World War 1. They were not colonies.
