Kansas really isn’t Maga central anymore than the rest of the US. Lawrence, KS (where KU is locate ) is very cute and KU has a nice reputation.

People are actually moving to “maga-central” and flyover countries places and liking it. The latest area to become trendy and have a real estate boom: Bentonville, AR. Yep, where WalMart has its headquarters and about 30 miles from Fayetteville (University of Arkansas). Young families (including many democratic ones) are flocking there. If the only reason you are interested in KSU is merit aid for your kid, then pick 10 of these 90%+ acceptance flagships and apply and see where the dollars come out.

Merit is a critical factor for my B student who wants a big(er) school.  Wouldn't mind a list of the so called 90%+ acceptance flagships.  Everyone loves to list 'Bama but they don't give merit to mid students. [/quote]
