How is that different than most hard-working UMC families in the DMV or for that matter in the world? If I am at work all day long, the kids are in the daycare or with a nanny. Then they are with me and my husband when we return home from work. It sounds like they make time for the kids in the morning. I have seen plenty of moms and dads who can't be bothered, and they are not high-profile human rights lawyers.
I think Amal must be insanely busy right now, more than before. I mean Lebanon was bombed for months by Israel, there is the Gaza crisis, she is involved in Syrian cases, and there was a revolution there. 
I also have a very busy job. I am lucky my kids are young adults and living on their own, while I travel nonstop and have to work most weekends, too.
George seems less busy than she, so I would think he is, or should step up. That's what most families here do. Seems like a let's tear down another mom and dad down. The question, to me, is why isn't George stay at home dad? His job is not important at all.[/quote]
