OP, I’m as fervently in support of Ohio State as the PP is UGA. I can make many of the same claims: my DD is there and loves it and her best friend was rejected. I also can’t say enough good things about the university or Columbus. I can make claims about rankings, etc.

But here’s the thing: all that matters is where your child ultimately wants to go. They are both great universities. Fighting over weather, rankings, football teams, etc… it isn't worthwhile. Your child will go to the one that tugs a bit more. And he'll end up happy with his choice. Either way.[/quote]
