Then why don't they? why don't they put an all-star team together - or even better, 8 all star teams - and invite teams from overseas to play them? or put an all-star team together and challenge GA? why do they only want to ever play their own? Why is it always hypothetical superiority? Why not actually show the superiority? Why can't individual teams not in ECNL not apply for a wildcard in an ECNL showcase?[/quote]

It happens at Jefferson Cup, Bethesda premier cup, vda showcase, Loudoun showcase, etc. ECNL and GA teams play each other.

Hopefully we see some GA vs ECNL matchups in August. I’m sure all of the new elite GA programs in northern Virginia will want to test themselves against ECNL clubs that only poach talent.[/quote]
