When hundreds of thousands of people get laid off, they stop getting their hair and nails done, they stop going on vacations, they stop eating out, and they stop getting home renovations. People should not take a recession so lightly, the social effects are horrible. High divorce rates, the birth rate is going to tank lower than it already is, mental health issues and substance abuse issues tend to trend up as well. This is not good.[/quote]
