Same with me, I have a friend who teaches at Gaithersburg High and we’ve been pretty happy on how the school is at least somehow improving. We expect it to be better with the new principal and for the remainder of the school year.[/quote]

RM and Rockville are way different from each other according to my kid. He spent his freshman and sophomore year at Rockville and then we decided to move to RM for his junior and senior year, he liked RM a bit more.[/quote]

What went wrong at Rockville? My kids graduated there a few years ago and we had no problems aside from the problematic admin and principal, but it was still an enjoyable school.[/quote]

My eldest son was facing bullying problems at RHS during his freshman and sophomore years at high school, and it was already a negative experience.

I won’t make it too long, but around the month before summer break at his 10th grade year, he wanted to tell me about the problems he was facing. Once I heard about it, I had to contact admin and principal at the time about the situation, but guess what? No one responded, and no one seemed to take action of what was going on.

I was absolutely angered by what they said and called it complete BS. I thought by around then we would relocate to another school close to us (RM) and he liked it. It’s a big school but he was able to get along with a whole new group of peers there.[/quote]

Sorry your kid has a really bad experience for the first half of HS. As a parent it must be difficult trying to take care of these situations. What did your kid do at RM after leaving Rockville?[/quote]
