What kind of ambulance-chasing law firm would stoop this low to send out these kinds of letters? If this insane neighbor can afford a renovated new home in Arlington, surely, they can afford window treatments. I know, first world problems — too much time and money on their hands. https://www.theatlantic.com/family/archive/2024/01/uncovered-windows-curtains-wealthy-neighborhoods/677204/I op
I’m in a very wealthy Arlington neighborhood and all of the new builds are basically huge glass windows in front —at night with lights on (and even in day) you literally see everything—not even wanting to or trying. The lots are close to the street, busy sidewalks. One family literally is practically eating breakfast on the sidewalk - about 4 feet in and total glass front windows. One house - if you need to run downstairs in your underwear to get something the whole neighborhood gets a show. Just terrible, terrible design choices. Those type of homes belong on wooded lots - not urban busy walkable neighborhoods on postage stamp size lots. I pull my shades, lower my blinds as soon as it’s dark. When my son was little I told him not to undress in front of his bedroom window because we had a really creepy old guy across the street and I saw at night when you pulled into our driveway you could see everything in the room. I make sure not to be in front of my own bedroom window with all the construction. And street work constantly going on. Who wouldn’t correct their own daughter’s behavior—hey honey pull down your shades- or don’t undress right in front of the window. Wtf?
