Why? So they can water down further the talent.  Name one team that is doing well in an EDP Division 1. BSC is pulling from outside MoCo to get good players.  Pipeline, BA, Celtic are not very good across most age groups.  Coppermine is good across one age group.  FCGB, Juventus, and any other small club in the county can't compete with Bethesda.  The talent isn't there.   [/quote]

Most of the smaller clubs have 4-5 quality players who could compete on that level.  They're "stuck" on teams with  lower talent filling out the lineup and roster.  If there was another option besides BSC many of those players could join together.

Add them to the players living in MoCo but playing elsewhere (Loudoun, McLean, MD United, etc) and you'd have something. There's a million people in MoCo, there's just not the same options for girls soccer like in NoVA or Bmore.

BSC can pull players from all over but that doesn't mean everyone has to be at that level with future pros and NT members. Having another ECNL team would give more girls in MoCo the exposure to play after high school.

I doubt there are 4-5 more players per team out there who aren't playing at BSC. You have to be at a certain level; otherwise, you will get crushed. You can see that by watching High school soccer.  [/quote]
