I stopped using Amazon a few years ago because of its truly terrible labor practices and because I think it’s bad for the world to have these dominant mega businesses. It wasn’t about Bezos, specifically.

Yes, all of the tech behemoths are bad. I can’t divest from all of them completely, but it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Extricating yourself where you can matters.

Bezos doesn't run Amazon anymore.  He has stock options which is how he earns his money.  Amazon provides jobs to many so while you think you are hurting Bezos you are hurting the people who rely on those jobs as income.  With that said, their shipping and returns suck now.[/quote]
He doesn’t just have options, most of his wealth is in Amazon stock. Amazon loses, Bezos loses. Amazon exploits workers and turns a blind eye to slave labor and child labor. As Amazon weakens, we strengthen healthier businesses and non profits. There is plenty of money for a healthy economy. We just have a few hundred people at the tippy top holding us hostage.
