[/quote] I am no expert but sounds like it may be your pot, especially if it is the kind with a magnetic disc embedded in the bottom - if that is about 6” that is the result regardless of pot size. That said I have used gas, electric, and induction. Each takes getting used to (even if you may not realize it for whichever you may already be used to). Once you learn any one of course you would find it easier since you are used to it. That doesn’t mean another is any worse. Induction does seem to me to have the best balance of all my concerns. The portable ones are not a good judge IME.[/quote]
