This is a public street that is one of only a limited number of ways to get into Rock Creek Park and these residents are trying to limit access.

These people reek of privilege. I can’t imagine trying to ban cars from my DC street at certain times of day just because it’s busy and I have to wait a moment to pull out “of my driveway”. Lol- most people in DC don’t even have driveways!!

Awww. Guess you’ll have to use one of the DOT-designated arterial roads in the near future when you cross the park. Military, Porter, etc.  Davenport is an official Local Road that was never meant to serve as a cross town arterial due to its 13 ft width.

Maybe they're going to block off their own access?  That sounds pretty stupid but these are the same people that believe that increasing congestion makes roads safer and does not increase cut through traffic.[/quote]
