Kids needing a pull-up at night is such a common thing that I’m very surprised anyone thinks it’s controversial.
I don’t remember this happening 40 years ago. Is this a new development, kids not being potty trained at night? I’m really asking and not trying to be rude.
It's not a new thing at all, It's just that no one ever talked about it back then because it was highly stigmatized.
It tends to be hereditary. My sister potty trained young (day and night) but I wet the bed to 7 or 8 and remember my mom getting pretty frustrated. My children were dry at night at the same time - my younger one potty trained late (around her 4th bday) but was dry at night. My older one potty trained at 3 but wasn’t dry at night until 8.5 years. I literally went from buying diapers for both of them one grocery run to not buying diapers for either of them the next time. It was a very sudden transition!
