This same line of thought seems to hold that black women are in power because of their race and gender, whereas white men in power are simply inherently superior and did not get there due to race and gender.  It's so simplistic and ignorant that it's almost not worth responding to.  And yet, our hard-wired prejudices make some people believe this swill.[/quote]

No, I'm all about criticizing people regardless of their skin color and gender, but the reality is that for generations, many white men have been put in power largely because they fit the mold of who we think should have power.  I do not think that we should shield anyone from criticism simply because of a demographic characteristic, but I just don't see any similarity between Bowser and Bass.  [/quote]

Well yes... That's what was written. That is the common denominator. The commonly discussed mayor of DC ( the namesake town of this website) compared to the mayor  of where a major event is happening is not some racist conspiracy theory.[/quote]
