They don't drink out of bottle it's a big juice container they pour glasses from. Nanny chugged from it. If she had poured a glass post would not exist.. She will be modeling poor toilet hygiene to kids as well as just being gross. Get new nanny.
Is this a sackable offense or a trainable offense? I think this is a trainable offense. Good employees are really hard to find - both technical and non technical employees. I invest in training. that me and I am not in the habit of firing them at minor infractions. Yes, I would be pissed, but I would approach her with kindness and empathy. I would use this as an opportunity to to teach her proper hygiene - bathroom, kitchen, cooking, etc. Honestly, she is low skilled, likely low education, etc - she really might not know. When you teach her tell her this is expected of her EVERY TIME. If the behavior continues or if she’s resistant to training, then consider a replacement. Do unto others. . . If she were one of your kids how would you want her to be treated by an employer?
This isn't training, it's disregard. She lied. She knows what the right thing to do is. And she lied about her actions.
