What’s wrong with coffee?
I think its only wrong for some people. I love coffee and caffeine but it doesn’t work for me. Even at half a cup per day I have stage 2 high blood pressure. Remove the 1/2-1 cup per day and my blood pressure is normal. For me its the difference between my doc requiring me to take bp meds (which I’ve tried)or not having to take anything at all. The second thing I’ve noticed is that coffee impacts my cholesterol numbers. Again, I’m normal to boderline without and just high enough to consider meds with it. For me, cutting coffee means I don't have to take any meds. My skin and hair look noticeably better without it too.
NP. Interesting about the blood pressure issue. I’m currently starting the DASH diet to try to reduce my bp naturally, which for me is to cut way back on sodium, since I eat pretty healthy already. But if that alone doesn’t work over the next 4 months, maybe I’ll try giving up caffeine. I currently only drink one cup each day, so not a heavy user, but if you say even half a cup affects you, then maybe it’s also something that could affect me. Thanks for the food for thought!
