I found out yesterday that OLGC has now entered there recruited 8th grades into the St.J indoor league. On top of that they had the Varsity coach on the sidelines coaching them. This would not be tolerated and is against the rules in almost every competitive league in the country. When will the WCAC see this is a negative and take a look at how his selective invites to his MS recruiting while using the WCAC name to bring players in. Meanwhile he only invited one school from the WCAC to join which was PVI. The reason why only PVI was invited is only because that’s the one WCAC school he is not concerned about losing a recruit to because they are so far out. If the WCAC allows this to continue unchecked it will lead t on one of two things OLGC leaving the WCAC or the girls side of the WCAC just becoming a race for second place every season. My take if you are going to use the WCAC name the least you could do is invite all the shops or is it just fear he won’t be able to continue to collect players when they learn they would be able to attend another WCAC school and have a chance to play Varsity before there senior year.
Could you explain what using the WCAC name is supposed to mean in this context? And unless you have a different explanation, every league I've ever heard of teams can sign up for. Leagues "invite" schools so they can fill them up. Typically many more teams are invited than attend. It isn't some exclusive event where only a select few can get in, and you hope to get the precious invite.
This is not a league we are talking about. This is a recruiting event using the WCAC name and logo in its advertising but has no official affiliation with the WCAC. This event is run by thinklax which is owned and operated by the OLGC coach. This coach appears as if he is concerned he may not get all the recruits so he excluded every other WCAC school that he would have to compete with and only included PVI since they don’t really compete for talent due to distance. My take if you are using the WCAC name and the logo to advertise your event the least the league should do is say of you do this you need to at the put out an invite all the other conference schools who wish to participate.
Sorry, still real confusing here. This is what you wrote originally: "I found out yesterday that OLGC has now entered there recruited 8th grades into the St.J indoor league." First it was a league, now it isn't. OK. Is there just a link or something so people can see what you're talking about?
Two different events. St James indoor league he’s coaching 8th grades he has recruited. Thinklax recruiting event run by OLGC coach is using WCAC name and logo in advertising without including all WCAC schools in the event. If he wants that event so be it but be honest about it. Don’t include the name and logo of the conference if you are only inviting one other of the nine schools in the conference.
Are you not capable of copying and pasting a link?
Do you not have the capacity to use google?
