Some people's bodies are just like that. I'm at my mom's house with a silk undershirt, wool sweater, wool socks, and wool blanket over me on the couch and I'm freezing. Really hate it. My circulation sucks and I know it, but what can I do? Putting on even more layers doesn't change it-- my face is cold and I don't think I should have to wear a balaclava indoors. My body hates this climate and I'm counting the days until I can leave.
This. OP, you are being unnecessarily rigid and discounting your daughter's experience. She is telling you that she is uncomfortable. Are you listening to her? Do you not care that she is cold? It really sucks to be chronically chilly and is actually kind of depressing. Yes, she can put on layers or get under a blanket. But like the PP says, it's not particularly effective and overall just feels like a struggle. Seriously OP, would it kill you to bump up the thermostat a couple of degrees? Even 70 would take the chill off a bit. 71 would be a relief to her. I get that you are irritated by her attitude but put yourself in her shoes- she is freezing and likely miserable. And her parent is telling her to suck it up because...why?
