[/quote] “Blended families” have been happening forever though. There were lots of remarriages in the past. My great grandma was a young widow with kids who had more kids with her second husband. Also extended families were more involved in the past. The idea of the perfect little nuclear family unit is a fairly recent one.[/quote]
