There are functions that I think are definitely beneficial and not wasteful (e.g., investigating contractor claims of whistleblower reprisal, having veterans' claims go to the Court of Appeals for Veterans' Claims before going to Federal court, Federal compensation funds for victims, agricultural research, space exploration), but if DOGE and the current administration are bent on significantly reducing the workforce, we may not be able to have those types functions/services any more. It takes people to administer functions and programs. If you want less Government, the Government is going to do less.[/quote]
