The only reason OP posted is that her kids playmates have vanished and now she is put out. It is, effectively, a childcare issue. Or a “I don’t want to have to entertain my own kids” issue. If it weren’t an issue, she wouldn’t have posted.
Op here. Again, we have lived in a neighborhood without kids for 14 years prior and have lived here since Spring. My kids are old enough to play outside alone so it’s not an issue of playmates vanishing. I’m simply curious why people are weather averse so early in the season. Winter isn’t officially here. If you don’t go outside now, do you not go back out until Spring? I think I anticipated neighborhoods with kids who have play outdoors to be year round. For the past nearly year, all the kids were outside sun up to sun down.
You are starting to catch on. And to the German PP, no we don’t want to wear all that stuff just to go outside. We have a lovely climate controlled home! If I want to go outside in winter I fly south.
Op back. But this is not even that cold I’d say. Back in the 90s we had blizzards here. I think the last blizzard was Snowmageddon. It’s warmer than it’s ever been. 80s on Halloween.
We were outside on Halloween. But today it’s 41 and cloudy. No thanks.
