Thanks for coming to my defense. I was comparing it to the original, 1900, text. I'm not entirely sure the other poster is aware it was a book first ;-)

Yes, the movie is based on the musical that’s based on the book that was inspired by the original Wizard of Oz 1900 book. But the musical (& movie, I assume) is much tamer & more family friendly than the book Wicked. [/quote]
