Okay. I fully believe this is a phase, and my goal is to make it as short of a phase as possible. I absolutely talk to her and forward her articles backing up what I am saying about people self-medicating with weed, how people mistakenly think it blisses them out but really is a depressant and makes them less motivated and more depressed, how to interrupt a cycle, which friends are clean and moving ahead and getting natural highs, etc. But I'm not talking to her when she gets home past midnight and we're both ready for sleep. That won't be a productive discussion. [/quote]

Let her sleep it off, make it clear why it’s not ok, give consequences and no more going over to that house.   Yes you wait up to make sure your kid is home safe.[/quote]
