Thanks, PPs. Unfortunately the HS we are zoned for doesn't have the Math 180 and I also don't think they allow anyone to spread Algebra 1 over 2 years anymore. Looks like it will be: Algebra 1 with related math for support (although losing an elective for this sounds miserable) geometry Algebra 2A Algebra 2B
Can you get her zoned for a school that has it? If you are DCC you can lottery into another school. Or, maybe COSA? If she's struggling slow down math as much as possible. This is all the graduation requirements. https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/siteassets/district/curriculum/graduation-requirements/graduationataglance_classof2028.pdf The other option is to get a tutor vs. math support. We have a math tutor on Preply for $15 an hour and we do a few hours a week. There are multiple platforms to match you up and you can try a tutor and see if you like them before a long-term commitment. It's been so worth it if she can do online tutoring. She only needs algebra and geometry to graduate so she can do things like financial math instead of Algebra 2 if needed.
