There is a surprisingly nice center area in Bethlehem across the river from the school. Beautiful historic homes (the Moravian district) and a surprisingly hopping restaurant, brewpub and wine bar selection. We were surprised at how nice that area was. The Lehigh kids aren’t likely to spend too much time there though - social life seems to be centered on campus and nearby in the south Bethlehem college town area. For what it is worth, our daughter seems to be having a good beginning to her time there. It is easy to get involved in activities, she says the kids are generally pretty nice and friendly and the faculty has been accessible. [/quote]
