He's addressing Gen Z. Let's be honest, you need to dumb it down for that generation.

I just had my 16 yr old watch it, and told them that Maher glosses over a lot of atrocities committed by Israel, but that what he said about Hamas, ISIS, and the like is true.  It's good to support the people, and especially women, in those countries but not the regimes.

BTW, my 16 yr old said that Gen Z does indeed get their news from tiktok.  And she said that she has opinions but she doesn't voice them in school because she's afraid of being yelled at by both sides. She thinks both sides are wrong and feels for the people, but I guess extremists on both sides don't want to hear that.

Enough generalizations. give us an example of TikTok having manipulated information regarding what Israel is doing. You mean Palestinians themselves showing you or is it the IDF soldiers who proudly display their depravity? Tell us what is being manipulated. The manipulation is on CNN, it’s the New York Times, it’s  president of the United States, it’s all the sources who told you about beheaded babies and mass rape, which you conveniently ignore being “mislead” about.

The BBC is part of the problem. Even their wording when it comes to Israelis versus Palestinian and Lebanese deaths. I don’t get people ridiculing social media when that’s where these manipulations in traditional media are exposed. It’s not conspiracy. It’s very deliberate on the part of traditional media to manipulate their viewers and readers. Some on here really need to stop being  so snide and condescending in thinking that TikTok is just videos of kids dancing around. The people on here are the ones who’ve been manipulated for years by traditional media. They are what got us into wars based on lies. They are the ones who allow govt officials to lie with impunity and have it go unchallenged. It’s traditional media that has lost credibility, because people on social media point out the gaping holes and how they cover news. just because many on here are arrogant and ignorant, don’t push Bill Maher on those of us who can see his agenda and his cowardice for years now.[/quote]
