Little daily luxuries doesn't have to be store bought.
OK? Like what?
DP Time. How you prioritize it. I take time to read. I take time to luxuriate in a fragrant hot bath. Sometimes I read while soaking in said fragrant hot bath. A few minutes of yoga or deep breathing help me to have a calmer, more resilient day. Sitting outside for a bit to enjoy the day. Getting a full 8-9 hours of sleep. I could go on. You could point out that my taxes paid for the store bought library book, but you get the idea. Playing music in the background can hugely improve my mood. So can sitting on the floor and stretching, and reserving time to chat with a friend. As a step up in “store bought “ : once I had practiced enough for knitting to be relaxing, I ended up with several luxurious (think alpaca yarn) handmade hats for myself and as gifts. The hats turned out to be a nice bonus from my chill times.
