Most published research is irrelevant or nonsense, not amazing inventions. If you have an amazing invention, you don't nees to publish a peer-reviewed paper about it. But if someone is willing to lie about something small instead of taking a stand and saying they'd rather give credit where due or not publish in a format they don't like, what else are rhet willing to lie about?
