Last season there was a ton of Indy chatter about their 2026 class being great and how they were the team to beat. Some was serious and some of it was probably from people posing as Indy supporters, but it was over the top for a team that has never won anything, and became very annoying.  Then Indy had a bunch of conduct incidents from one kid in particular and the  board turned against them, which made the real/fake Indy supporters even more annoying. Then Riverside won yet again. Then this stupid Pendence stuff started this year from either real or fake Indy supporters which has made any lacrosse discussion that even remotely relates to Independence unbearable. The post above is accurate with regards to the Indy boys.  Nobody that has any real insight into the lax community throughout NOVA is going to say anything supportive about that program and its coaches and I think they are fine with that.  The Indy parents have certainly been joined by other posters throughout many boards on this site posing as Indy supporters to stir the pot further.  Doubt it goes anywhere anytime soon.  Does make it easier to root for Riverside as they handle their business on the field as do the Madison, Robinson, YT etc...[/quote]

Does everyone realize how ridiculous it is to compare Independence and Riverside. Honestly, Riverside doesn’t get mentioned enough for being an all-time Virginia power. 6 state championships in 8 years of existence is amazing. And they are getting disrespected for the past 2 years by people saying Independence is a better program.  And honestly the lacrosse community in this area as a whole doesn’t either. Nobody cares.[/quote]
