Last season there was a ton of Indy chatter about their 2026 class being great and how they were the team to beat. Some was serious and some of it was probably from people posing as Indy supporters, but it was over the top for a team that has never won anything, and became very annoying.  Then Indy had a bunch of conduct incidents from one kid in particular and the  board turned against them, which made the real/fake Indy supporters even more annoying. Then Riverside won yet again. Then this stupid Pendence stuff started this year from either real or fake Indy supporters which has made any lacrosse discussion that even remotely relates to Independence unbearable. This does sum it up nicely. I have a slightly different take and maybe not on the same page, but in the same chapter as you.

From my perspective, Independence has a good 25 and 26 class. The 26 class has been overhyped (since rec even) and my belief is the 25s are a better class for them.
I do believe it was some Indy 26 parents/players posting about a year or 2 ago about how great they were going to be. That seemed to die out, but was picked up by some non Independence player/parents. 
Yes, coaches kid did and has had conduct issues in HS, VEL and club etc. From the video I saw he should have been kicked off the team but only got a game or two suspension.
I think all this things you see today are the non-Indy peeps just being idiots. I suspect it is the 26s at Riverside myself.
