Again missing the point. If a kid hates reading, don't you think he should be given a book that he will actually read? I have no problem with the subject matter of the book. I also would have been happy for my son to read the book to get a different perspective on the world. That would be great in an ideal world. But when your kid is a struggling reader for so many reasons, you would expect the teacher to take notice and try to actually motivate your kid to read. She was pushing her own liberal, political agenda. Period. Also, I am not a Christian Nationalist. I am a middle of the road person. I love how people like you jump to conclusions without thinking things through.[/quote]

English curricula aren't tailored to your son who happens to hate reading.  Standards exist for a reason.  If you want everything your way, homeschool.  Then you won't be offended by an LGBT romance in a book.[/quote]
