Her experience as a DA and a county exec is far better experience and far less of a leap than going from a college football coach to the Senate (Tuberville) 
Better than going from a book author and venture capitalist to the Senate (Vance).  
Better than a college professor going to the Senate (Warren).
Better than an accountant and machine operator in his wife's family business going to the Senate (R Johnson)
An actor and radio personality going to the Senate (Franken)

This is not to denigrate any of them.  The career politician is a 20th century creation and was not the case in the first century and a half in our nation.  The original Congress was supposed to be filled with people of all walks of life so that we had different perspectives in forming our legal system.  But now, we have career politicians who come up through the system.
