Starting Oct 1 of 3rd grade is when (around here) they all start to turn 9. Only the absolute youngest kids will turn 9 in Sept of 4th grade. [/quote] My son starts 4th grade on Monday. He is 8. He will trun 9 in two weeks and stay 9 all of 4th grade. He is on the young side, but its not that abnormal.[/quote]
