I am a swiftie in a house of swifties. I don’t know that Taylor/her fans were the “targets” so much as it was an event and location that met their needs. Huge crowds of westerners, announced months ago (plenty of time to plan) and plenty of distraction with the olympics going on. 
I feel awful for everyone who was looking forward to this once in a lifetime event but am so thankful that officials were able to stop it from becoming a horrible reality.[/quote]

Yes, but there's really no denying the full implications here - a stadium full of women listening to a concert performed by one of the most famous women in the world in the European capital where the Ottoman Empire's expansion was stopped in its tracks. I don't believe that's a coincidence.
