But would that be better in the long run? Speaking from someone whose kid isn't a starter. My kid works hard but she stills not at the level of the starters (at other clubs) and with limited playing time, it's very hard for her to figure out how to turn it on when she has 10 mins of the game time. We would appreciate a little more playing time so she can be developed and hopefully one of the starter one day.

We were in the same boat as you two years ago. We increased her personal training (soccer, speed and agility) and also asked the club to play her on the lower team when she does not have conflicts with the ENCL team - more playing time (it will not cost you anything as you are part of the club and there is no shame in playing down - have to put the echo aside). On the lower team she played most of the game. Now she is a regular starter and never comes off the field on her ECNL team.
