My mom's cousin, to whom she was not particularly close and who lived in MN (we lived in CA) asked my parents when she was going through chemo if my parents would be the guardians for their two sons if something happened to her and her husband (they were flying a lot for her treatments). My brother and I barely knew the two kids and one of them was special needs. My parents ended up saying no. [/quote]
