Supply and demand. What we know is that in their 20s, women do much better than men on the dating market. In their 70s, men do much better than women (a lot due to women's longer average lifespan). Somewhere between 20s and 70s, the balance tips and men gain the upper hand in the dating market. The question is, at what age?
But that is NOT the question. That’s what is so freaking annoying about this thread. Unlike plenty of other posts in this forum, this OP did NOT ask if she would get dates or her chances of finding love again. She asked about how divorce worked out. The people who assume the answer cannot be good without dates/suitors completely miss much of the depth of middle aged women’s lives. I happen to be dating with middling results at best, but there is SO much more that is good about my life now. Stop limiting our outcomes to our love lives.
