If you are not taking “core courses” all 4 years of actual high school, it may or may not be a problem. I do think it is funny, though, how some of the same people saying you must have 4 years of high school science might say 3 years of foreign language is OK — as long as you took foreign language in middle school. Kids don’t take science in middle school? On another note, it is presumed science= rigor. So why are these STEM kids and their parents starting all these threads about avoiding foreign language.
