Union, Arlington and Bethesda have the best record of placing players in College.  VDA and Loudouns record is mediocre.  Even if VDA wins a game in Nationals, it will likely be a lower ranked team.  [/quote]
The college placement of those clubs is indeed better, but it has little to do with the clubs or soccer. Take a look at the colleges that non-athlete kids from those communities attend and you’ll see the exact same trend. More kids from Bethesda, Arlington, McLean attend brand name colleges for a variety of reasons not named soccer, things like money and having parents who went to those colleges.
