A good small club wants it players to succeed. I think a small club that is able to send players to MLSNext or ECNL teams when they're ready would consider itself successful. DD's coach from U9-U12 was very open with players about when it was time for them to leave and what they needed to work on if they wanted to move up.  [/quote]

We had this same experience, and I am grateful to the small club for it.  I would recommend it whole heartedly to anyone U8-U12. They keep development front and center, and encouraged my kid to think bigger when they were outgrowing their peers at pace[/quote]
