I think because they didn't have enough women as the popularity exploded worldwide and it generated revenue. Every response cost money. The owner wanted to maximize profit. One woman who had been on it but hadn't looked at it in years had men contact her who thought she was talking to them. They were being contacted by her profile by bots.[/quote]
