OP here. Just wondering because of the destinations of several Gonzaga students include their recruited sports and TJ doesn’t seem to have that as much. Not a troll. Just busy with lacrosse and tennis this week and exhausted and overwhelmed.
TJ usually has several athletes every year who are recruitable to play sports at least at the Division III level. Usually, those students will get into a school that is stronger academically than the schools that are recruiting them. It’s very rare that TJ students will turn down academic prestige in order to extend their playing career.
Not really. Division III level from base school requires dedication, even if it means academics take a backseat. However at TJ, students are aiming for a different kind of division, more like decimal division, especially when that C or D drops on the report card.
Apparently, you are making an effort to be clever here, but it is, sadly, not at all successful. The fact is that some TJ kids do get recruited to plays sports in college and some are able to walk on to teams once they get there. I personally know of TJ students in both these categories. It’s not hard to talk to some TJ parents with actual experience in this area if you call the school and ask to be contacted by parents who are willing to discuss the topic with other parents who have questions. I suggest you’ll get better information from TJ parents than you’ll get from this forum, particularly since there are some posters here with an axe to grind.
