Why? Larger class sizes and mediocre curriculum?

So many ATS families boast about the summer reading challenge. 50 kids books spread over 10 weeks isn’t that big of a deal.

Some privates, even very good ones, suggest that parents have elementary children read something over the summer, and then stop with that suggestion. Private education unavoidably has wide variance, even between very good private schools.  [/quote]
