Potomac is by far the easiest to get into.
Not at all. For 9th its acceptance rate has been very low the last few years. I’d say Hilton or NCS. Ncs has been on the downturn as far as popularity in the last few years. If she’s waitlisted at multiple schools her best chance of movement would be ncs followed by Holton
Very low? Maybe. But certainly not lower than NCS or Holton. Potomac has been slipping lately and ceding ground to Basis Independent McLean and others that now outrank Potomac, so I think the admissions chances at Potomac will only get better in the next few years as people move to other, better ranked VA and DMV schools.
 You are using the Niche rankings which are pure garbage? If so, Potomac still ranks ahead of Maret, GPrep, Landon etc…. No kid wants to go to Basis. Only if their mom makes them go. Nice office building, in and office park, no campus to speak of. No sports teams and no social life. Yeah, sounds like a great place to send your kids… I’m sure education net Potomac is better period, and will have a better balance of social skills, campus life, and extracurricular activities.
Seriously. I can’t even imagine there are any applicants that actually apply to both? Other than McLean addresses, I can’t think of anything in common?
Even though they’re different, I think a lot of kids apply to both. Mostly kids applying to Basis Independent McLean who need a safety school, and so will apply to Potomac.
Potomac is now a safety school for BIM? What about Holton?
Same
